Katebee Primary School (Latrines)

Project Location: Rwandama Village, Nabiswera Subcounty, Nakasongola District, Uganda

Project Completed: August 2018

People Served: 377 (Sanitation)

The Problem

Not only did kids not have clean water at Katebee, but they did not have a safe place to relieve themselves while at school- their latrines were collapsing and filling up! DLDT quickly got to work with eager parents and teachers to help their children be healthier and go to school. Everyone deserves a safe, dignified place to go.

The Solution

June 2018 and August 2018, the latrines were opened. They are matched with DLDT’s child-friendly amenities, handicap accessiblility and safety standards.

The lives we change at Drink Local. Drink Tap. need you now more than ever.

As we continue to fight the spread of COVID-19, take a moment to consider how you and your family would be impacted if you didn’t have access to safe water. With your help, 3,000 children will have a clean water system at school where there has been no water at all. We need your support.
